A Semantic Differential question allows respondents to rate a variable, or set of variables, on a scale of choices such as “Y to X” or “Very Unsatisfied to Very Satisfied”. The labels are shown at either ends of the question, and the choices are shown horizontally.
This is a great question type to use if you want respondents to rank a specific, or set of items. For example, if you wanted to know how customers felt about your customer service and affordability on a scale of “Very Poor to Great”, you could use a Semantic Differential question.

The Net Promoter question type is a fast and easy way for an organization to obtain their Net Promoter Score ®
It appears as a likert scale and can be inserted anywhere within a survey. The question asks respondents to rate how likely they’d be to recommend your offering to a friend, on a scale of “Not Likely at All to Very Likely”.
In Analytics, your Net Promoter Score ® is automatically calculated by taking the % of people who gave you a score of 9 or 10 (promoters) and subtracting the % of people who gave you a score of 0-6 (detractors).

Timer questions are perfect for tablets, or even for online quizzes, that allow for you to time exactly when an individual started their survey, and how long it took for them to complete it.
While FluidSurveys provides the ability to include your own JavaScript code, the process in which to encapsulate them was an unfortunate event. Before, Javascript could be added to any section, eg., Survey Title, Extra Description, Question Variables/Choices, etc. As a survey grows in size, this could cause raise for concern due to having to pinpoint a speciifc piece of code.
However, the JavaScript question type now allows for all code to reside under 1 location. The JavaScript question type is perfect for those who are deeply engrained with JavaScript knowledge.
The JavaScript question type provides the following:
- You can now collect your JavaScript code into a single place for each page of your survey, making it easier to locate and work with,
- We’ve included a built-in JavaScript editor complete with syntax highlighting,
- You can use our JavaScript builder to easily modify the core components of the question types on your current survey page, and,
- Administrators can show/hide the JavaScript code in preview mode!
Warning
This question type has the potential to cause serious error to your survey if the individual does not fully understand JavaScript. Please be careful when making any changes to your survey when adjusting the JavaScript.
